- 1.5 cups jasmine rice [312 g ]
- 1.5 cups water
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 stalks spring onion, sliced, white and green parts separated
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup blend of peas & carrots [ I used frozen carrot & legumes and set them in warm water for 5 minutes before using in the recipe]
- 1.25 cups pineapple chunks, I used canned pineapple chunks
- 2.5 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp white pepper powder, or to flavor
- salt, to taste
Directions
- Rinse rice with cold water until the water is no more muddy and ends clear. This may take 60-90 minutes and is an very significant step so as to acquire the ideal feel of rice.
