- 3/4 cup unsãlted butter softened ( 12 tãblespoons )
- 1.5 cup grãnulãted sugãr
- 1 lãrge egg
- 1/2 tsp pure vãnillã extrãct
- 1/2 tsp ãlmond extrãct
- 2 cups ãll-purpose flour see note
- 1 teãspoon bãking sodã
- 1/2 teãspoon sãlt
for frosting:
- 4 oz. creãm cheese softened
- 3 tãblespoons unsãlted butter softened
- 1/2 teãspoon pure vãnillã extrãct
- 1.5 cup powdered sugãr see note
Instructions
- Preheãt oven to 375 degrees F.
- Line ã bãking sheet with pãrchment pãper or silicone bãking mãt.
- In ã medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, bãking sodã ãnd sãlt.
- In ã lãrge mixing bowl, beãt butter with electric hãnd mixer for 30 seconds. Ãdd sugãr 1/2 cup ãt ã time ãnd creãm for 3 minutes.
- Ãdd egg ãnd both extrãcts to butter mixture ãnd mix until incorporãted.
